I’d like to thank everyone at the Credit Union for all the help through the rough times. My husband and I were struggling to catch up after a long layoff. Our house payment was behind and foreclosure was starting. We had used our credit cards to try and live day to day and they had gotten late and bill collectors were starting to call at all hours. We finally couldn’t do it anymore and were going to file bankruptcy.

We called the Credit Union to see what the status of our accounts would be after we filed and the person who answered the phone suggested that we talk to somebody there, to see if there was something that could be done.

We came into see a lady at the Credit Union who explained the pros and cons of filing bankruptcy to us. We also talked about other methods of getting out of debt and how to prepare better for possible future layoffs. It was a hard conversation to go through, but at the end we discovered that we didn’t have to file bankruptcy, we got all of credit cards paid, and had reduced our monthly payments so that we could start saving for possible future layoffs.

Thank you so much for being there in our darkest hour. For my family and I there is no place better to bank than the Credit Union.
